🐈 What is it that you do?

Design user experiences for digital applications.

🐈 How long have you been doing UI UX?

I've been working in the industry for around 12 years.

🐈 What made you want to enter the tech space?

Initially, technology wasn't on my radar; I stumbled into it through my active involvement in art and design. At first, I was turned off by the digital space until circumstances forced me into it. My brain struggled to transition from fine art to what felt like confining my energy to a black box. However, I eventually realized that the digital space represents a continuous evolution of creativity. Everything is interconnected and can lead to significant changes. The endless possibilities excite me.

🐈 What is the most exciting thing about the tech space at the moment?

The rapid pace at which AI is advancing has thrown the entire world into hyperdrive. This might be the biggest shift in our lifetime, potentially surpassing even the impact of the internet. We could be witnessing the birth of a higher form of intelligence.

🐈 How do you see artificial intelligence impacting UI/UX design in the near future?

The impact on anything created digitally will be significant. You can now prompt the creation of experiences, generate code, and go live. While it's not perfect at the moment, it may well be by the time you read this—haha. Integrating AI into workflows acts like a superpower, but you still need domain experts to guide the process. It would be challenging to account for all human intricacies and future edge cases. Nevertheless, I am optimistic about the future and the augmentation of human-centric design.

🐈 What are some current AI technologies or tools that you find particularly useful in your UI/UX work?

Currently, I've integrated ChatGPT, Midjourney, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and various AI tools from the Adobe platforms into my workflow. I mainly use natural language models. These tools have been exceptional assistants in developing UX writing, acceptance criteria, feature documentation, and checking code—far beyond what I initially imagined. They have not only increased the speed of my process but have also helped me gain knowledge simultaneously.

🐈 Can you share any specific examples of AI implementations in UI/UX that have significantly improved user experiences?

AI algorithms catch a lot of heat, but they have greatly improved user experiences by analyzing user behavior and providing personalized content. Platforms like Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube are great examples.

Predictive search is another amazing AI-powered feature that allows users to find what they're looking for faster. As a user types into a search field, dynamic content appears in the form of autocomplete suggestions, guiding them towards relevant content all of us engage in this experience everyday top example would be Google Search.

AI assistants like GPT models and voice applications like Alexa can adapt and analyze their behavior based on interactions with humans. These assistants learn from past conversations and improve their responses over time providing relevant information.

The list can go on.
